Fine Me Not is an early beta for iOS 27. Enable warnings once, allow Always and Precise Location, and test the sound while parked. It checks approaching cameras on your phone, including with the screen locked. Warnings use your selected speaker, Bluetooth, or CarPlay audio route and media volume. Car audio still needs physical testing.

No app can promise uninterrupted warnings in every iPhone state. Power, permissions, interruptions, and iOS background decisions affect delivery. Reopen after a restart or force-quit. No ticket-prevention guarantee.

Quiet below the limit

The optional speed check is on by default. It skips speed-camera sirens only when your measured speed is reliably below a known, current limit. Unknown speeds or limits still warn, and red-light warnings stay on. Limit coverage is currently limited to approved agency data; Albuquerque limits remain unverified.

Camera data & attribution

U.S. community camera records are supplemented with reviewed Albuquerque metro locations and public agency coordinates and clearly labeled address/intersection estimates in selected major metros. Coverage is incomplete. A mapped record is not a live camera-status feed. “Possible speed camera” marks a mapped deployment point or reviewed road area where equipment presence or the exact camera position is uncertain. All 40 current Albuquerque city-listed approaches are represented: 20 mapped camera points and 20 approximate warning areas. This does not establish complete metro coverage or field verification. Refreshes are scheduled for Monday at 12:00 a.m. America/Denver, including daylight saving. Hosting queues can delay a run. Phones fetch when iOS allows and connectivity returns; a failed download keeps the last usable database.

Privacy

Fine Me Not does not transmit your location, driving route, speed, or warning history. It needs no account and includes no analytics or advertising SDK. Camera matching happens on your iPhone. Settings, the offline database, and camera encounter IDs and times stay on the device; encounter state prevents repeated sirens. The latest audio attempt is also kept locally for troubleshooting, including the camera name, time, output route and playback result. No trip log is saved. You can choose to copy diagnostics; camera names may reveal a place you visited.

Database downloads contact finemenot.xyz over HTTPS, delivered through Cloudflare and hosted by GitHub Pages. These providers process connection information such as IP addresses and requested URLs and may keep request logs under their Cloudflare and GitHub privacy policies. No location is attached to the request. Optional TestFlight feedback and diagnostics are handled by Apple. Uninstalling removes the app’s local data; iPhone backups are controlled by your device settings.
